Unitas contractors, Phoenix Gas and PM Training, provided paint and volunteers to help restore the community hall in Sneyd Green.
Rachel Forster, CSR Co-ordinator at Unitas, said: “Councillor Powell-Beckett approached Unitas after a leak in the flat roof of the hall had caused unsightly water damage along the roof.”
“We asked our contractors if they could help as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) payback, and Phoenix Gas and PM Training answered our call.”
Unitas contractor, Phoenix Gas, is a local, family-run company in Tunstall who carry out central heating replacements for Unitas, and they provided the paint and materials needed to refresh the community hall.

PM Training, an independent training provider who deliver painting, decorating and grounds maintenance works for Unitas, volunteered members of staff to carry out the painting.
Councillor Joanne Powell-Beckett, said: “I would like to express my thanks to Phoenix Gas and PM Training in both supplying all the materials, as well physically painting and decorating the Sneyd Green community hub.”
“Their generosity has given the Hub a much-needed face lift and given its current use as a testing centre, this face lift is very timely. Many, many thanks”
