Welcome to our “Meet the Team” feature. Director Wayne started us off a few weeks ago and now it’s time for another.
Rachel is our Corporate Social Responsibility Co-ordinator and works as part of our Governance Team.. Rachel has worked for Unitas since we first formed and prior to that has worked for Stoke-on-Trent City Council for over thirty years. She recently returned to her role after stepping into the role of Governance and Business Improvement Officer to cover Maternity Leave in the service.

What are 3 words you would use to describe Unitas?

What is your favourite part about working for Unitas?
I am the CSR Co-ordinator and I love my job! I work closely with our contractors and community groups to co-ordinate and deliver a range of meaningful projects that help to improve the lives of residents within Stoke-on-Trent and enhance their community. I also assess and provide Helping Hands funding to community groups to help them fund smaller projects so that they can make a positive change in their local area.
What is your favourite travel spot and why?
Switzerland, it has the most beautiful lakes and snow topped mountains.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
A glass of red wine.
What kinds of hobbies and interests do you have outside of work?
I enjoy walking and swimming. I also love architecture and visit historic buildings and National Trust stately homes.
